Hockey is a big part of my everyday life. It’s more than just a sport to me, it’s something that keeps me active, focused, and connected with others. I usually have training after school or games in the weekend, and I look forward to each one. Playing hockey gives my week structure and something to look forward to.
On game day, my whole mindset changes. I feel excited but also a little nervous, especially if it’s an important game. I get my gear ready, warm up with the team, and then everything becomes about focus. Once the whistle blows, I’m in the zone. Every pass, every goal, it’s intense, but thats what hockey is about.
Hockey has taught me that you can’t succeed alone. You need to trust your teammates and communicate constantly. I’ve also learned how to deal with pressure, stay calm, and keep going even when we’re losing. These lessons help me not just on the field, but at school and in life too.
Through hockey, I’ve learned to see the world as a place where effort matters. I’ve played with people from different cultures and backgrounds, and we all work together for one goal. To me, “The World Through Our Eyes” means understanding others, pushing yourself, and enjoying the journey. That's what I see that every time I play.
