**Japan has a lot of wonderful ski resorts!**
There are many kinds of snow mountains in the world. But..., some Japanese ski area is unique and attractive!
Japanese snow is very high quality and called "JAPOW"(Japanese Powder Snow).
If you have time and are intersted in winter sports, you should visit Japan to ski or snowboard.
Today, I will introduce you some ski resorts which I recommend you.
1. Zao Onsen Mountain & Snow Resort
Famous for " Juhyo"
This is ski area in Yamagata prefecture which is famous for Juhyo, frost-covered trees.
It is called also "Snow Monster"
It has many & several trails!
It has 26 slopes which are suitable from beginners to advanced. My recommended slope is Kurohime Super Giant Couse. This is a fun couse with varying slopes.

You can enjoy Onsen (hot springs)
This is ski area in Yamagata prefecture which is famous for Juhyo, frost-covered trees.

Easy to get there!
You can visit Zao by trains or domestic flights, and bus or car. You can get there for 40 minutes from the airport.
2. Niseko United
United ski resorts!
This is an area where 4 ski resorts are linked together. You can enjoy all of them without taking off your skis or snowboard. Of course, not only is the ski resort large, but the snow quality is also top class, even amoung the high quality powder snow known as "JAPOW".

Niseko Tokyu Grand HIRAHU
This is the largest resort in Niseko. A wide range of facilities can be found at the base of the mountain including hotels,condos shops and restaurants. Thanks to these facilities, everyone is sure to enjoy a snow holiday there like never before!

You will be able to enjoy incredible off-piste powder skiing! I think that this is the true essence of JAPOW.

The highest and largest ski area in Japan!
(This photo is of their mascot character, Okomin.) This is the largest ski resort in Japan. There are 18 ski resorts in this area. It has ski area stretching across in size from a height of 1325m to 2307m(Highest in Japanese ski resorts) with 48 lifts, gondolas, and ski areas that are functionally connected by a shuttle bus service. (You can move around even with your skis on.) Having a blessed geography and weather conditons, you can enjoy the great quality of its snow. You can enjoy a long season as it covers the period from the middle of November to the end of May. Enjoy the dynamic exhilaration that can only be found in Shiga Kogen and the panoramic view that spreads out right in front of you.
