Art of RnB

A generational music genre

What is RnB?

RnB was initially created by mixed individuals back in the 30's to express and relieve themselves of their judgement from the world. It was also used as an Umbrella term from "Race music". The genre mainly served as a cultural soundtrack for Black Americans in which allowed them to express their struggles, experiences, pride and emotions being a race discriminated against.

Who are some notable RnB artists?

Lauryn Hill is a well-known artist and was a common feature to the famous music group, "The Fugees". Her music combines, Hip-hop Reggae, Rap and RnB and had since then been awarded dozens of awards for her creations. Ne-yo was a staple for 2000's RnB and essentially carried the genre on his back. His songs were catchy, and allowed people to vibe and chill to his music.
